50 Followers! Thank You!

I’m taking a short break from writing reviews for an important message! After my last post, I reached an important milestone – 50 followers of the Book Love Blog!

Let me just say – thank you! Thank you, my amazing readers. From the bottom of my heart. I really cannot tell you how much this means to me!

When I started this blog less than a year ago, I was really nervous. I never thought about putting my ideas and reviews out in public. I wasn’t sure anyone would even be remotely interested in what I had to say. I mean, I was used to being asked about my favorite books and if I had read any good ones lately* – this is part of the librarian profession, as you can imagine. The thought of people outside my personal and professional world actually caring what I think about books was a daunting prospect. So perhaps you can understand that getting to this milestone has meant the world to me.

*In fact, I was asked just yesterday. By someone who definitely reads this blog.

Even in my wildest dreams, I couldn’t imagine that anyone I didn’t know in real life would be interested in what I had to say. At fifty+ followers, I’ve definitely surpassed the members of my family. And I’m sure that there are some of you that I’ve never actually met in real life. I cannot begin to tell you how honored I am that you take part of your day to read my rambling musings about books. Every time I get a notification that one of you has liked my post, my heart does a little jump. It just makes my day!

I have learned so much in the last nine months since I started this passion project. But, at heart, I’m still a novice blogger. I’m still trying to figure out which books to talk about. Whether I should be posting more lists of books instead of individual recommendations. If I should write more or less when talking about a book. I’m trying to improve reaching out on social media by deciding how much to post and how often. I invite all of you to connect with me on Twitter or Facebook. Come chat with me! I really want to find a way to say thank you. I’m hoping to have giveaway (as soon as I learn how to do that – remember, still a novice at this.) So keep your eyes here. And please know that wherever you are, that I am so appreciative for all of you.
